The incumbent performs all necessary activities required to assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements such as ISO, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and HACCP.
Job Summary:
The Quality Certifier performs all necessary activities required to assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements such as ISO, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and HACCP.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete daily shift Production Audits.
- Report non-conformances on shift to mitigate production risks.
- To conduct generated specific production audits for International Customers to ensure customer specific requirements are met.
- To conduct periodic sampling of Finished Goods pallets.
- To validate through objective data that the Internal Critical Defect Protocol is sufficiently instated when a Critical Defect is found within the Process.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- National Engineering Technician Diploma in Science or Engineering and/or equivalent training in Quality for the Manufacturing Sector.
- Two (2) years work experience.
- Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience.
- Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
- Glass product or glass industry-specific experience.
- Certifications in the following will be considered an asset: Quality Auditor, Quality Technician, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of the principles and philosophy of Total Quality Management, process improvement techniques and scientific and statistical tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC management systems.
- Knowledge of Data Analytics Tools.
- Familiarity with Customer Service and Satisfaction principles.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control methodologies.
- Environmental Management practices.
- Development and management of procedures, work instruction or other such documents.
- Advanced numerical and analytical capabilities.
- Technical report-writing.
