JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that products and services meet established quality standards and regulations by performing tests on raw materials and finished products. They are crucial in maintaining product quality, preventing defects, and providing customer satisfaction.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs tests on new shipments of Raw Materials to ensure that the materials are within specifications.
  2. Performs tests on all Products while they are being processed to ensure that they are within specifications and recommends adjustments to Machine Operator when products are out of range.
  3. Performs checks of packaging lines to ensure accurate weights and labelling.
  4. Checks all finished products prior to transfer from Production to Warehouse, applies the “PASSED” stickers, authorizes the Production Advice and forwards it to the Warehouse Department.
  5. Updates the relevant information on the Batch Sheets and Production Program.
  6. Evaluates Product Returns and reports results to the Marketing Department.
  7. Prepares Certificate of Analyses for relevant customers as requested by the Marketing Department.
  8. Assists the Research and Development Department as required.
  9. Keeps the Laboratory and Laboratory Equipment clean.
  10. Promotes harmonious working relationships both within the Quality Assurance Department and between the Quality Assurance Department and other Departments.

 

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A’Level or CAPE in Chemistry
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry and chemical principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct research and develop new products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
