Job Description:
- Ensure transaction alerts generated via the Bank’s monitoring tool are assigned, investigated and closed accordingly.
- Perform regular and comprehensive compliance testing, and report findings to the respective Departmental Heads as required.
- Establish and operate a mechanism for reporting known or suspected cases of noncompliance, wrongdoing or suspicious activity.
- Provide ongoing and remedial feedback / recommendation to all staff where activities/transactions are not in compliance with the Bank\’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that compliance procedures are adhered to and documented Corrective Action Plans are implemented within identified target dates.
- Develop and Maintain satisfactory Customer Relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Provide information and guidance to assist the various Departments to operate within compliance of the Bank\’s policies and procedures and all regulatory requirements.
- Support behaviours to promote and maintain a strong compliance culture in the Bank.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BSc / BA in Business, Finance, Law or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., ACAMS, Certified Compliance, Ethics Professional, LLB) is a plus.
- 3 – 5 years’ proven experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and/or Operational Risk Management (ORM).
- Good knowledge of legal requirements, procedures and controls (POCA, ATA & FOR).
- Superior attention to detail to identify and correct risky practices.
- Strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both speaking and in writing.
- Possess a collaborative personality and be open to suggestions from team members.
- Exemplify strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices.
- Must be able to manage time and resources efficiently.
- Must possess the ability to perform large amounts of numerical work with speed and accuracy, often with competing priorities.
- Must be self-motivated and vibrant.
- Must demonstrate the ability to use initiative and should possess the ability to work under stress.
