The Quality Administrator will be responsible for completing tasks required to develop and maintain Caribbean Bio-Techni’s Laboratory Management System.

VACANCY - QUALITY ADMINISTRATOR 

The Quality Administrator will be responsible for completing tasks required to develop and maintain Caribbean Bio-Techni’s Laboratory Management System. The role ensures the compliance of operational policies and practices with regulatory requirements and standards and reports to the Laboratory Manager. 

 Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the lab management system in accordance with the ISO/IEC17025:2017 requirements
  • Ensure documentation (including policies and procedures) associated with the Laboratory Management System is maintained and up to date
  • Monitor, identify, follow up and report on action items arising from risks, improvement initiatives, opportunities, corrective actions, non-conformances and complaints
  • Plan, execute and oversee investigations and generate reports on quality issues and feedback
  • Handle, investigate and analyze complaints or quality issues to ensure timely resolution in accordance with laboratory guidelines
  • Initiate actions to prevent or minimize deviations from established procedures or the management system
  • Assist with conducting employee training and orientation as it relates to quality and ISO 17025
  • Maintenance of all employee training records
  • Assist with the management of the Internal audit program
  • Assist the Laboratory Manager in the preparation of documentation and creation of reports as required
  • Perform efficient and timely data and statistical analysis using laboratory data
  • Assist in soliciting feedback from customers to assess whether their needs are met
  • Manage continual improvement initiatives and change management process
  • Any other duties and responsibilities deemed appropriate by CBL 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field
  • Two (2) years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in a food or manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Office 365 (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Certification in the following would be an asset:
    • ISO/IEC 17025 General requirements
    • Internal Auditing 

Key Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to break a problem into components and identify root causes and drivers; ability to determine best problem solving techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret data with an understanding of statistics and conducting statistical analysis
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, capable of working within teams and in an autonomous environment; goal oriented with a customer-focused approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills
  • Development and management of policies, procedures, work instruction or other such documents.

 

The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required
