IMPLEMENTATION OF QUALITY SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES THROUGHOUT THE AUTHORITY
VACANCY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position at the North-Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA):
QUALITY MONITOR/ IMPROVEMENT OFFICER
The incumbent will be responsible responsible for the implementation of Quality systems and processes throughout the Health Facility. To monitor the maintenance of quality systems within the Health Facilities, assisting units towards achieving their quality improvement targets. Addresses concerns of uses of the service promptly, thus ensuring that the customer satisfaction level is maintained at all times.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with departmental heads in identifying strategies for implementation to achieve quality targets.
- Monitor service delivery within the Institution to ensure compliance with standards/protocols.
- Participate in the review and revision of standards, protocols and procedures for service delivery.
- Collaborate in the dissemination of all information relative to the Quality program through the Institution.
- Participate in clinical and work processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Officers in maintaining IPC surveillance.
- Investigate incidences of irregularities of practice in health care delivery.
- Monitor the quality of supplies used in the delivery of care.
- Provide status reports to the Quality Coordinator.
- Work with the Customer Relations Officers in managing patients’ complaints and ensure all data is compiled for client Feedback Reports.
- Conduct spot audits and prepared non-conformity reports and provide recommendations for appropriate actions as it relates to quality of service.
- Collaborate with the OSH Officers in maintaining OSH Standards.
- Collaborate with OSH Officers on investigations as it relates to safety standards affecting the delivery of Quality service.
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical heads of department to ensure the maintenance of standards, protocols and procedures for service delivery.
- Perform other related duties as directed by the appropriate organizational relationship.
Minimum Qualifications, Training and Experience:
- An Associate Degree or Diploma in Management /Quality Management /System Auditing or a registered health professional in Quality Management Certification.
- Experience in implementing quality systems in a healthcare environment.
- Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in a similar or related field.
* Certificates acquired at foreign universities MUST be supported by certified transcripts as well as evidence that the completed programme is accredited in Trinidad and Tobago. *
