QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Primary Responsibilities

• Testing & analysis of raw materials, packaging, finished goods etc.
• Ensure adequate inventory levels of reagents, glassware and other laboratory materials are maintained
• Preparation of reagents and other solutions
• Responsible for monitoring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Performing various in-line quality control checks on products and packaging, etc.

Qualification, Requirements & Competence

• BSc/Diploma in Chemical Technology / Food Chemistry
• On the job experience would be an assets
• Valid Foods Handlers Permit
• Exposure and experience with quality management and food safety systems, ISO, HACCP, etc.
• Flexible, able to work rotating 8-12 hrs. shifts including Nights and weekends
• Effective analytical and time management skills
