NWT Enterprises Ltd. is looking for an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to manage procurement, cost analysis, and freight logistics.

Position Summary:

NWT Enterprises Ltd. is looking for an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to manage procurement, cost analysis, and freight logistics. The ideal candidate must have strong experience working with manufacturers and be highly skilled in costing goods and coordinating international shipments.  This role is critical to ensuring cost efficiency, supply chain optimization, and seamless logistics operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement processes, including placing and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct cost analysis of goods, factoring in materials, production, and shipping costs to optimize pricing.
  • Oversee freight logistics, including sea, air, and land shipments, ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers to streamline operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate currency exchange rates, tariffs, and import/export regulations affecting procurement.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and ensure quality control of received goods.
  • Analyze and improve supply chain processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Handle logistics documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years proven experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on China-based suppliers.
  • Extensive knowledge of product costing, freight rates, customs duties, and import/export regulations.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers and logistics providers.
  • Familiarity with logistics management software and procurement systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of freight logistics, including container consolidation, Incoterms, and Supply Chain Planning.

 

 Skills:

  • Experience with supply chain risk management and alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Knowledge of customs compliance and international trade regulations.
  • Ability to work with multicultural teams and communicate effectively with overseas suppliers.
