We are looking for a PURCHASING OFFICER. This person will be responsible for the purchasing and inventory management of the Company's brands and products.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Managing daily purchasing activities.
Coordinating with Brand Managers to monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excesses.
Placing relevant orders to achieve adequate stock levels.
Searching and sourcing competitive shipping rates and routes for all orders placed.
Working alongside the Import Coordinator to ensure all permits are applied for once orders are placed.
Comparing proformas and invoices to the order to ensure all quantities and pricing match.
Ensuring the quality of procured items and addressing issues if they arise.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related discipline
Minimum of four years' experience in purchasing/procurement
Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
Knowledge of the distributive trade, specifically wholesale, retail and food service
Proven ability to make sound decisions and problem solve in a variety of situations
Ability to prioritize projects and stick to a strict deadline
