Hotel Catalonia (formerly Holiday Inn) located in Montego Bay, Jamaica is seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team.

Job Summary:

As the Purchasing Manager, you will lead, coordinate, and manage all purchasing activities for the hotel in Jamaica. Your primary goal will be to meet all purchasing and supply requirements with the best price and service conditions for the company. You will be responsible for faithfully following the processes and policies established by Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the Purchasing department.
• Handle all purchasing and supply requirements for the hotel.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best price and service conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and processes.
• Maintain an independent posture and execute plans effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage conflicts and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Exhibit proactive leadership and excellent human relations skills.

Education, Experience, Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field of study.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Spanish will be valued.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Accredited experience in the hotel sector and in the Jamaica/Caribbean area will be highly valued.
• Strong negotiator with an analytical mindset.
• Excellent planner and executor of plans.
• Positive attitude and leadership qualities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicts.
• Highly organized and proactive.
• Strong teamwork and human relations skills.
• Self-directed with the ability to make decisions.
• High tolerance for frustration and conflict management.

Other Requirements:

• Residence in Montego Bay or surrounding areas is a plus.
