Currently Recruiting for:

PUMP OPERATOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• General maintenance of the pumps and associated equipment.
• Maintain the appropriate records of maintenance conducted.
• Basic maintenance and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
• Perform rigging associated with lifting and handling.
• Assist with pressure testing.
• Assist with mooring and docking of the vessel.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Valid STCW 10 (Basic Safety Training)
• Valid UKOOA/OGUK Medical Certificate
• Pump and Mechanical Equipment Training
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in an offshore environment
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Pump Operator

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps and related equipment.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Familiarity with the operation of hydraulic and pneumatic pump systems.
• Understanding of Fluid Dynamics: Basic knowledge of fluid flow principles, pressure, and pump characteristics.
• Instrumentation and Control Systems: Familiarity with control systems, flow meters, and monitoring equipment used in pump operations.
• Assist with mooring and Unmooring of the Test Barge based on schedule
• Attention to Detail: The ability to monitor and track pump performance, identify issues early, and report any discrepancies to the control room.
• Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to report operational status, maintenance needs, and emergencies.
• Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to quickly troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems, identifying solutions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Teamwork and Adaptability: Offshore operations are collaborative, so the ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing conditions is essential.
