Public Area Supervisor

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Public Area Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of all public areas within the property.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
• Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards.
• Schedule and assign tasks to the public area attendants, ensuring all areas are cleaned efficiently and on time.
• Train and motivate staff, providing feedback and coaching to ensure high levels of performance.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate with the housekeeping manager for replenishments.
• Address and resolve guest complaints related to cleanliness or maintenance in public areas in a prompt and professional manner.
• Collaborate with the maintenance department to report any repair needs or safety concerns in public areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and make sure that staff is properly trained in the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Assist in the cleaning of public areas when necessary, especially during peak times or special events.
• Maintain proper records of staff performance, cleaning schedules, and any incidents or issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or public area role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
