PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB/ JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent will be required to manage execution of Trade Promotions  and events across all channels as well as oversee recruitment and training of all Brand Ambassadors assigned to the Region. Special projects designed to drive incremental sales and product trial will also be assigned to this team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In conjunction with Brand team, plan, execute and manage ALL Trade promotions for all channels.
  • Create Weekly schedules of Promotional activity and events for visibility and approval.
  • Liaise with the Sales Team on viable promotional opportunities, making recommendations where  applicable.
  • Work through Sales team as required for account level or community marketing initiatives; assess ROI of each promotion using sales rep feedback, customer feedback and sales, reach and impressions.
  • Monitor and assess effectiveness of consumer promotions and Brand Ambassador activity via scheduled trade checks.
  • Create and implement promotions related brand standards in the trade and ensure that Look of Success metrics for Promotions are 100% met at all times.
  • Recruitment and training of Brand Ambassadors in each geographic Region, inclusive of the maintenance of a log and monthly assessment.
  • Manage Special Channel initiatives.
  • Manage all Promotional activity: Sampling, Special Channel initiatives and events.
  • Manage and submit Payroll for Brand Ambassadors. 

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Tertiary level qualification in Business, Marketing, or Communications
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Trade management
  • Sound knowledge of consumer and channel marketing principles and practices
  • Understands consumer and market research principles and their application
  • Skilled at executing and evaluating ROI on fully integrated marketing programs
  • Strong retail trade experience
  • Superior communications skills

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • 100% engagement as it relates to Brand Ambassador recruitment, training and coaching.
  • Provision of Monthly Reports for assessment of Trade activity and events.
  • High level of professionalism and Team work as it relates to interaction with Sales Management and Brand Team.
  • Weekly Trade Visits to ensure engagement with Sales Team and accuracy as it relates to Channel promotions and to manage Brand Ambassador output.
  • Achievement of targeted Increase in sales for participating accounts and brands.
