Massy Wood is recruiting for a Project Foreman - Painting to support one of our projects based in Trinidad.

Overview / Responsibilites

The Project Foreman - Painting leads related fabric maintenance programs assuring the availability and reliability of the equipment in compliance with the company’s technical and HSSE standards as well as established policies and procedures.

  • Supervise fabric maintenance painting crews and minor project activities.
  • Identify, assign and optimize resources such that the cost efficiency and asset integrity standards of the company and its clients are maintained.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the team, guiding and supporting the execution of activities in an organized and effective manner generating value to both the company and the client.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company and client standards.
  • Review all reports under areas of control to determine accuracy and follow up on any corrective or improvement actions.
  • Provide input for plans and schedules, manage work to ensure attainment of schedule and identify areas of concern where necessary.
  • Continuously assess all subordinates and identify training gaps to assure competency and personal development.
  • Identify improvement opportunities that add value to both the company and the client.
  • Ensure all records, reports and documentation, both electronic and manual, are maintained to auditable standards.
  • Supervise work crews to best utilize manpower and materials to ensure efficiency.
  • Familiarity with all Company QA/QC and safety procedures / regulations and enforce them with the workforce under his responsibility.
  • Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure all sub-ordinates and subcontractors are aware of standards expected to proactively assist in improving and maintaining high HSSE standards and performance.
  • Provide input to risk assessments and actively participate in the investigation of equipment failures/incidents for areas under control.
  • Perform all other job-related functions as required.

Qualifications

  • The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) Blasting/Painting certification or equivalent Blasting/Painting certification.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in a similar role supervising Blasting and Painting crews.
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET).
  • OSHA mandatory safety training.
