Project Coordinator
Cuso International Jamaica Office has an exciting, full-time, position for a talented Project Coordinator (PC).
Cuso International (Cuso) is an international organization that works to reduce poverty and inequality through the efforts of highly skilled volunteers, collaborative partnerships and compassionate donors. Funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), Cuso in collaboration with the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) is implementing a 4-year project, Caribbean Organizations for a Resilient Environment (CORE) to build the capacity of National Conservation Trust Funds (NCTFs) operating in eight countries (Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname) to implement local, nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation through an inclusive and gender responsive approach. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, Latin America and the Caribbean (HoP), the PC will manage the implementation of key activities for the CORE project in the region.
Qualifications required:
A University degree in international development or a related field
Minimum five years’ experience working in the development sector, including experience working in a non-governmental or not-for-profit organization
Minimum three years’ experience in project management, including experience with annual work plans and budgets, reporting, managing partnerships and human resources
Knowledge of current issues and trends in gender equality and/or economic empowerment of vulnerable groups (e.g., women, youth and persons with disabilities) and climate change in the Caribbean
Experience preparing reports for donors, such as GAC
Experience with climate action projects is an asset
Experience in volunteer management or client relations
