The incumbent in this position will oversee the monitoring and evaluation of vocational qualifications and Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) initiatives, and collaborate closely with stakeholders affiliated with the NTA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager, Vocational Qualifications to develop systematic and realistic monitoring and facilities audit plans/schedules for training providers/secondary schools.
  • Collaborate with training provider/school staff to plan, organise, and promote various activities necessary for the implementation of specified vocational qualifications.
  • Conduct site visits for training providers/schools to monitor vocational qualification delivery and CBET implementation.
  • Assist training providers/ schools in organising, developing and coordinating curriculum design and development activities.
  • Consult on curriculum development, material selection, and alignment with established frameworks.
  • Provide support to training providers/schools on the various assessment techniques required for competency–based assessments.
  • Prepare documents and reports on training providers/schools and other stakeholders related to collected data, assessments/evaluations and recommendations for enhancement.
  • Contribute to the management of the existing TVET Control Centre and other databases for all training providers affiliated with the NTA.
  • Assist and make recommendations to stakeholders regarding the establishment and maintenance of a functional Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Any other related duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Head of Department.

Required Competencies:

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
  • Aptitude for following oral or written instructions.
  • Superior time management capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications.

Education/Training:

  • Undergraduate degree in Education / Social Sciences or an equivalent qualification.
  • Training and Assessment Qualifications.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, notably in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Profound understanding of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET).
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance Principles within the educational framework.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including report drafting proficiency.

 Required Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years in an Education / TVET environment.
