We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of:

 PROGRAM MANAGER – VACATIONS 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Program Manager – Vacations will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and play a pivotal role in driving the growth, profitability, legal compliance and success of our vacation products across the airline's network. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with planning vacation schedules while selling a full range of travel products and services. The incumbent shall ensure that all contracts, negotiations, and operational practices align with Trinidad and Tobago’s legal framework, international regulations, and industry standards. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the Inside Sales Support team to assist in building relationships with clientele while serving as a consultant. The selected candidate will provide leadership and guidance to build and maintain strong relationships with our clientele.

 

KEY DELIVERABLES:

 

  • Contract drafting and review: Draft and review contracts with potential clients and third parties whilst ensuring that there are no breaches of the laws of Trinidad and Tobago or any governing jurisdiction to which the contract may be subject.
  • Customer Service: Continuously capitalizes on opportunities to exceed the expectations of customers by placing a keen interest in understanding and effectively resolving issues in a professional and result-oriented manner.
  • Operational Effectiveness: Ensures effective and efficient utilization of assigned resources, so that customer service and on-time performance standards are achieved whilst ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Package Negotiations: Ensure effective negotiations with potential clients and third-party providers.
  • Profitability:  Manages assigned resources to maximize efficiency of operations and create value for customers. 
  • People Management: Supports the growth and development of team members, through effective engagement, leadership and guidance. Supports the Company’s People Agenda through adherence to related policies, processes and initiatives, and championing our core values.  
  • Reporting: Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and other reports, with a view to supporting effective data analysis and decision-making.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION: 

 You will have a Bachelor‘s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification, with five (5) years of experience in the aviation industry and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in contract drafting and negotiations. You must demonstrate strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, in particular MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. You must have a strong knowledge of contract law, negotiations and drafting.

 

You must exhibit a strong customer service orientation with an ability to lead your team effectively.  You must be able to work well under pressure and set reasonable performance targets to meet the monthly and annual sales targets of the Vacations programme. You must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, especially for report writing. You must be able to multi-task, be flexible and exhibit accuracy when working with details.  You must demonstrate strong problem-solving, time management and organisational skills. You must also be able to manage confidential information appropriately.
