The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the manufacturing production line by ensuring that the products manufactured are consistent and suitable in accordance with the company’s quality and efficiency standards.

Job Purpose/Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the manufacturing production line by ensuring that the products manufactured are consistent and suitable in accordance with the company’s quality and efficiency standards.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Work as part of a team in meeting on the production line and meeting production targets.
  2. Monitoring assembly line and removing faulty products.
  3. Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
  4. Understand and work in accordance with the company’s quality requirements.
  5. Assembling products.
  6. Maintain proper storage for material and product inventory in warehouses.
  7. Utilize machinery such as forklifts to load & offload products.
  8. Move materials or completed products and packages to established locations.
  9. Assist in performing effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximize availability.
  10. Assist in performing scheduled planned preventative maintenance in accordance to minimize unplanned downtime.

This description is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake duties that are broadly in line with the above responsibilities.

Educational Requirements, Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification in Industrial System, Engineering or related field would be an asset.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years applied engineering experience or operating different types of machinery.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
  • Experience working in a factory environment and general safety training would be an asset.
  • Certification and experience in Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklift) would be an asset.
