Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient production of the right quantity and quality, on time and at the right cost. He/she strives to ensure maximum equipment availability through the safe maintenance, repair and replacement of plant equipment and systems.

Key Objectives:

• Constant monitoring of industrial safety processes. Must inform and take timely actions on any deviation that is generated in the development of activities
• Organize space, equipment, manpower and other resource requirements for the effective operation and control of plant production according to company strategy.
• Monitors targets for Line Efficiency according to applicable beverage standards and makes adjustments accordingly .
• Identifies and drives opportunity for cost reduction by indicating non-value add system features and functions.
• Plans, manages, and monitors the effective use of the human capital within Production.
• End-to-end accountability for: raw materials utilized, machine operation, human resources, etc.
• Motivates team and encourages teamwork within to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
• Monitors and puts actions in place to minimize the generation of waste during production operations
• Carries out performance reviews according to determined plans for effective personnel performance.
• Investigates personnel issues within Production and refers matters to the Plant Manager where necessary.
• Reports major performance issues and work-related matters for the appropriate disciplinary steps to be taken.
• Ensures production plan compliance

Requirements & Experience:

• Preferably at least a BSC in Industrial or Mechanical      Engineering
• At least 2-4 years at a Supervisory/Coordinator Level in one or several of the following areas: Line Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of MRP, understanding of sequence of events needed for manufacturing.
• Experience in beverage packaging is highly desired.
