Production Operations Manager

A large Production and Manufacturing entity is seeking to hire a senior manager to oversee its Production Operations. The role covers all aspects of production from raw materials to finished goods.

The ideal candidate should be results-oriented, organized and have a record of achievement in effective leadership, to meet the objectives of the company.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage all departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Plan production operations and prepare schedules.
• Manage production to meet demand for internal and external customers.
• Provide continual evaluation of company's processes and methods, to ensure the effective use of resources and equipment.

• Provide day to day supervision of all employees in the production operations.
• Motivate and boost staff morale to enhance employee engagement.

• Enforce the use of all Standard Operating Procedures and safety regulations.
• Manage and control of documents to ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage yields of all products to ensure conformance to approved targets.

• Sound knowledge of Production Operations.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to motivate team members and get results in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays and late shifts.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or equivalent studies.
• A Minimum of 5 years experience in a management role.

Experience in a manufacturing environment will be favourable.
