The Production Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the production team in all aspects of the production process, ensuring that logistical and administrative tasks are executed smoothly and efficiently.

 

Production Assistant

As a Production Assistant at Simber Productions Ltd., you will play a critical role in supporting the production team in all aspects of the production process. You will be responsible for ensuring that all logistical and administrative tasks related to the production are executed smoothly and efficiently, enabling the production team to focus on creative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the production process and dynamics, excellent organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the production schedule, including booking locations, arranging transportation, and coordinating equipment rental.
  • Assist with casting, hiring crew members, and managing contracts and payments.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of scripts, call sheets, and other production documents.
  • Manage communication between the production team and vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and track the production budget, ensuring that expenses are properly documented and approved.
  • Assist with post-production tasks, such as managing the editing process and coordinating delivery of final products to clients or distributors.
  • Coordinate and facilitate production meetings and serve as the liaison between the production team and other departments within the organization.
  • Conduct research and provide support for the development of new production projects. 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard equipment and software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with production budgeting and financial management.
  • Ability to keep track of equipment, props, scripts, and other production materials to ensure they are readily available and in good condition. 

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field is often preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in production coordination or a related role.
