FT Farfan - Product Development Specialist

Job Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for evaluating, promoting, marketing & demonstrating Agri Lawn and Garden product lines. This position reports to the Division Manager - ALG.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•  Development of brands by trials, demonstration, promotion, B2C engagement, sales of specified products.
• Conducting product training with technocrats, dealers, ministry staff etc.
• Providing technical support & training for FTF sales staff.
• Field evaluation of new products.
• Gathering competitive data.
• Executing all aspects of a sale including but not limited to: prospecting, negotiation, quotation, collection of payment, arranging PDI and delivery, registration and administrative functions, post-delivery demonstrations. 
• Demonstrates active adherence to all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, while also promoting HSE awareness.
• Performs other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.

Academic Qualifications & Experience

•  Associate Degree in Agriculture or equivalent.
• Minimum of five CSEC; four CAPE subjects or equivalent.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar capacity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge and/or training in Agriculture, Crop Protection, Tractors and small machinery will be an asset.
• Local travel requires that the candidate owns a reliable vehicle and uses same for customer site visits as required.
• A valid Driver’s permit.
