Ensure all Customs & ASYCUDA docs are organized, liaise with brokers, generate shipping docs, manage shipments, coordinate imports/exports, and handle procurement tasks.
Job Description
1) Ensure that all documentation for Customs and the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) is maintained and in order.
2) Frequently liaise with Customs Brokers regarding documents for import & export.
3) Generate shipping documents e.g. CARICOM, Commercial Invoice, etc.
4) Ensure the maintenance of Shipment files (electronic and hardcopy) and update and verify Shipping Board for actions needed.
5) Determine best way for freight with due consideration for cost management, timing, and all other risk assessments needed. 6) Coordination of purchases for import and export.
7) Continuously review, compare and analyze market products and make suggestions to Director for purchasing consideration
. 8) Research and advise to Directors on prospective suppliers and new products for introduction to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and development programs; preparing return on investment Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analyses and establishing time schedules
. 9) Plan, implement and maintain an effective ordering and warehousing system;
10) Facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels.
11) Development and production of economic and cost-effective purchase orders.
12) Prepare plans for the purchase of replenishing stock and new products and establish reorder levels and Economic Order Quality (EOQ)
13) Actively respond to all Request for Quotes (RFQs) that are received by the Company.
14) Actively participate in the Tendering process - preparation and presentation, finding documents, printing files etc.
15) Follow and enforce the Company’s procurement and shipping policies and procedures.
16) Maintain and continuously update supplier information inclusive of qualifications, delivery times, product range and listing etc.
17) Maintain good supplier relations
. 18) Prepare budgets, cost analysis and reports as directed by Management.
19) Assess market position by comparison of the company’s products vs competitors.
20) Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
21) Stock Control, reporting and timely provision of internal reports.
22) Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
23) Assist customers and resolve customer complaints.
24) Always comply with company policies including Health and Safety and Human Resources Policies.
25) Any other functions that are related to the duties stated above.
