Job Title: Procurement and Logistics Executive
Primary objective of the job:
The Procurement and Logistics Executive plays a critical role in initiating and managing the procure-to-pay process, ensuring the transparent and efficient execution of competitive sourcing events. The role is focused on negotiating favourable commercial terms and delivering maximum value for money, while adhering to organizational procurement standards and industry’s best practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast requirements and plan sourcing events aligned with organizational objectives
- Ensure procurement activities support project timelines and operational continuity
2. Supplier Identification and Pre-Qualification
- Research, recommend, and pre-qualify potential suppliers to facilitate competitive sourcing, while managing supply chain risks
- Establish and maintain a pool of reliable suppliers tailored to the telecommunications industry
3. Sourcing and Tender Management
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including issuing Requests for Quotations/Proposals (RFQs/RFPs) and ensure all requirements are clearly outlined for accurate comparisons.
- Adhere to fair and transparent procurement practices in line with company policies and industry standards
4. Negotiation and Contracting
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers in collaboration with key stakeholders to secure optimal value
- Facilitate and oversee the technical evaluation process with stakeholders and lead commercial evaluations to advise the business on final decisions
5. Spend Analytics and Cost Optimization
- Utilize spend analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities, aggregate demand across categories, and standardize repeat purchases
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement expenditures and deliver measurable savings
6. Logistics Management
- Track incoming shipments, manage customs clearance processes, and coordinate efforts to minimize rent, demurrage, and other logistics-related costs
- Facilitate the inbound and outbound flow of materials, ensuring smooth operations within warehouses through effective inventory tracking mechanisms
7. Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails for all procurement events in compliance with regulatory and organizational policies
- Prepare detailed reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and procurement performance metrics
8. Contracting
- Facilitate the contracting process, ensuring that agreements are clear, enforceable, and aligned with the company’s objectives
- Improve contract compliance to enhance business operations
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience within a Procurement environment, covering multiple categories of expenditure
- A First degree in Business, Finance, Operations or equivalent preferred
- CIPS Level 1 preferred
- Knowledge of Procurement/Supply Chain systems, processes and best practice

- Experienced in conducting sourcing activities and negotiating favourable terms with suppliers
- Ensures value for money while maintaining quality standards and fostering strong supplier partnerships

- Capable of constructively challenging internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve the best outcomes.
