Job Summary

The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process and assisting with the logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain management. The incumbent will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in purchasing and logistics management.

 Job Duties

  • Source new suppliers and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous deals.
  • Review purchase requisitions, create and issue purchase orders for goods and services as needed by the company.
  • Monitors stock balances (including on order, in transit) to mitigate stock-outs/disruption.
  • Provide expected time of arrivals and order statuses.
  • Address issues or concerns with suppliers regarding quality, pricing, or delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times and delivery efficiencies.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Coordinate with shipping companies to arrange transportation of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and customs requirements.
  • Track shipments and communicate delivery schedules to internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all purchasing and shipping activities comply with regulatory policies and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to purchases and shipments.
  • Stay updated on import regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Any other duties that may arise within the scope of work.

Education/Training/Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in procurement, logistics and supply chain management.
  • Bachelor's Degree – Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
  • Familiarity with shipping logistics, freight forwarding and customs clearance.
  • Attention to details and accuracy in handling data and documentation.
  • Background knowledge in accounting and demand planning is a plus.

 Skills

  • Proficient in Excel with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Team oriented with a collaborative and supportive mindset.
