Assist the Finance Director in managing procurement, including generating purchase orders, monitoring shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy, liaising with suppliers, and preparing reports while complying with company policies. WE ARE ADVERTISING THIS VACANY FOR A COMPANY IN PORT OF SPAIN

Duties and responsibilities:
  1. Report to Finance Director and assist in procurement administration.
  2. Generate and approve Purchase Orders, enter new items, and prepare payment vouchers.
  3. Manage shipment logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective transit, and maintain procurement records.
  4. Monitor stock levels, reorder as needed, and manage inventory turnover.
  5. Coordinate import/export purchases and liaise with suppliers and Customs Broker.
  6. Participate in tendering process.
  7. Analyze market products, assess competitors, and suggest new suppliers and products.
  8. Maintain supplier information, foster good relations, and ensure accurate purchase/pricing records.
  9. Prepare procurement schedules, ensure timely requisitions, and handle shipping documents.
  10. Assist customers, resolve complaints, and comply with company policies.
Requirements:
  1. Must have a valid drivers license
  2. Must have at least 5 CSEC passes including Math and English
  3. Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM and one Saturday per month from 9 AM - 1 PM.
