Overview: Our client is an I.T Solutions and Customer-Oriented Technology Group. With a wide range of services, they provide corporate clients with top-of-the-line products to provide tailor-made systems and tools for customers in different fields across Central America, Miami, Colombia & The Caribbean. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ a proven professional to work from the Suriname offices.

 

As a Pre-Sales Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the sales process by providing technical expertise to potential clients. You will work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, articulate technical solutions, and demonstrate how the company's products or services meet the client's needs. Your primary objective is to ensure that potential customers have a clear understanding of the technical and financial aspects of the offerings, thereby contributing to successful sales conversions.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

● Technical Consultation: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and challenges. Conduct in-depth technical discussions with clients to identify their requirements and pain points. Provide expert advice and consultation on how the company's products or services can address specific customer challenges.

 

● Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the features, benefits, and technical specifications of the company's products or services. Continuously enhance your understanding of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.

 

● Solution Presentations: Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the company's offerings. Tailor presentations to address customer-specific requirements and concerns.

 

● Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, engineering, and support, to gather technical insights and ensure accurate representation of product capabilities.

 

● Proposal Development: Contribute to the development of proposals and RFP responses, providing technical details and documentation as needed. Ensure that proposals align with the customer's technical requirements.

● Customer/ Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders within customer/ supplier organizations. Address technical queries and concerns to build trust and confidence in the company's solutions.

 

● Training and Support: Provide training and support to the sales team on technical aspects of the products or services. Stay informed about updates and changes to the product portfolio. Liaise with support units for specific technical information.

 

● Driving the team effort for supplier and other seminars

 

● Assist with planning and coordinating partner events.

 

● Attending supplier training for specific technology areas and webinars.

 

● Attending department, Customer, and Supplier meetings or events.

 

● Manage portal training for sales executives, pre-sales specialists, and technicians.

 

● Assisting the Pre-sales manager with managing and coordinating projects.

 

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

 

● First Degree in Business Management or Engineering or equivalent

● Minimum of TWO (2) years’ experience in an Information Technology and Communications sales environment or equivalent

● Ability to put together complex technical proposals in response to customer requirements.

● Experience in managing and sustaining business relationships at the corporate level.

● Experience in IT Sales/IT Industry would be considered an asset.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong influencing skills.

● Ability to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process.

● Strong decision-making skills

● Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills.

● Negotiation, conflict resolution, and team-building skills
