To support efficient plant operations by effectively troubleshooting issues, conducting repairs, and maintaining all Plant and Auxiliary Equipment in keeping with company identified standards and polices.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:
1. To perform preventative maintenance, routine service and calibration of all plant electrical, electronic, controls,
instruments, mechanical, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
2. To perform corrective maintenance and repairs on all plant electrical, electronic, controls, instruments, mechanical,
HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
3. To effectively perform setup, changeovers and fine-tuning adjustments of all plant processing and packaging
equipment.
4. To effectively troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root cause to eliminate future downtime.
5. To identify, report, and correct potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions.
6. To assist with installation and/or modification of equipment as necessary.
7. To inspect, test, measure and accurately record the performance of various plant equipment by means of authorized
documents as required.
8. To complete and submit detailed daily log of work done by means of authorized documents.
9. Competent with the use of power and hand tools to perform basic machining processes such as drilling, grinding,
cutting, pipe fitting/threading, etc.
10. Responsible for the proper care and cleaning of tools, parts, materials, and work area.
11. To comply with the Company’s Human Resource, Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) procedures and policies.
12. Perform any other related duties, incidental or consequential to the above-mentioned functions as determined by
management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
• NETD / MET / MEEET / MIC Journeyman Diploma or equivalent Technical/vocational qualification.
Skills / Experience:
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience (preferably in the food manufacturing industry).
• Sound Knowledge of electrical controls and PLC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to aid with
troubleshooting and identifying parts for replacement.
• Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, operations analysis and complex problemsolving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Sound interpersonal skills
• Basic welding and fabricating skills would be considered an asset.
