Planning Analyst

To assist in the development of long-term goals, business objectives and marketing strategies in alignment with Company’s strategic direction. This position identifies, analyses and monitors issues that may negatively affect profitability and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports in the continuous review, evaluation, and amendment of financial reporting systems, accounting standards and recommend appropriate improvements to senior management.
• Provides assistance at strategy reviews for Executive Management.
• Forms business alliances/associations with service providers and through effective networking and negotiation.
• Supports the Business planning cycle from Strategy to Budget to in year performance review, by meeting and integrating with key stakeholders on plans for the period, facilitating integration, challenge and submission of the consolidated Business Unit Plan/Forecast.
• Identifies financial and other business risks and advise relevant authorities for corrective action.
• Performs internal performance analyses (trends over time, scenarios, cash flows) relevant to the setting of corporate targets.
• Conducts analyses of trends, industry data and competition to support the definition of key priorities and themes.
• Assists in the development of templates and frameworks to be used during the business planning process.
• Supports planning process by coaching stakeholders on the use of frameworks and templates and helping build models and analyses for strategic plans.
• Participates in planning discussions to ensure the participants understand key assumptions and drivers.
• Collates and analyses market data in order to identify industry and competitive trends.
• Provides analytical, research and modeling support to special projects.
• Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
