What will you do?

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their strategic priorities and develop HR initiatives that align with Company goals, in line with the overall People strategic plan. Coach and mentor leaders & managers on leadership of their organisations and management of their workforce.
  • Facilitate talent acquisition, performance management, employee development, and succession planning processes to ensure the organization has the right people in the right roles.
  • Address employee concerns, investigate & resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner to maintain a positive work environment. Working closely with the Head of People Experience & People Partners, resolve any serious employment liabilities for the Company.
  • Identify opportunities for improving organisational culture, structure, and processes to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
  • Support the creation and implementation of organisational changes, HR projects and other initiatives as required in line the People plan, communicating effectively with employees and providing necessary training and support.
  • Monitor key HR metrics, analyse data, and provide insights to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations. Create and advise on employment policies and practices to mitigate risks.
  • Managing the end-to-end starter and induction process, from offer generation, right to work & background checking, processing new starter documentation, on-boarding new hires though the relevant EOR portal, keeping the Talent Acquisition team updated throughout. Supporting our line management community through every step of the on-boarding to end of probation period, to ensure we drive a best in class on-boarding experience for new hires.
  • Creating and delivering people management training as required, including HR induction, as required.
  • Oversee the full employee life cycle by completing all required documentation to ensure best practice and legal compliance. This will include processing all contract changes, internal moves and management of our leaver process, and required liaison to EORs. This role will also include management of the EOR employee portal, signing off and checking employee timesheets etc.
  • Work on the global change initiatives and projects, which may include the introduction or sunsetting of employee benefit schemes within the USA, Canada or Trinidad territories.
  • The role is based at our Trinidad Office, though some travel may be required to USA & Canada territories as required.

What will you bring to ESP?

  • 3 -5 years of experience supporting USA based employee relations issues/resolutions. Required.
  • 3 -5 years of experience developing & delivering succession planning & retention strategies for USA. Required.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial principles, and market trends to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels, including senior leadership. Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations based on insights.
  • Ability to identify issues, assess options, and develop practical solutions to complex HR challenges.
  • Strong sense of self-governance and time management and capable of working with multiple parties on work activities and projects.
  • Experience of matrix reporting line structure, ideally in a global company.
