It is the responsibility of the Payroll Manager Plan, define and execute the payroll administration process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with legal regulations and internal policies. Contributes to the well-being of employees and the fulfillment of BDR's organizational objectives.

Description of Responsibilities: 

 

  • Plan payroll and voucher payments, reviewing alignment of information with related payroll laws in the payroll system and executing cash transfer payments, in order to ensure timely payments. 

  • Direct and supervise his/her staff under him/her, providing guidance, training and support to ensure optimal performance and achievement of departmental objectives. 

  • Coordinate the accurate and timely processing of employee payrolls, ensuring accurate calculations of salaries, deductions, taxes and benefits, as well as the timely issuance of payments. 

  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, tax regulations and government requirements related to payroll, including tax withholdings, social security contributions, government reporting and audits. 

  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures related to payroll administration, ensuring consistency, fairness and regulatory compliance in all operations related to employee compensation. 
  • Supervise the administration of employee benefits, such as health insurance, pension plans and other compensation programs, ensuring their correct calculation, implementation and compliance with company policies and legal regulations. 

  • Authorize severance payments, using the system, calculating data such as: date of entry, date of termination, salary, Christmas bonus, vacation, and vacation premium, with the objective of terminating the employment relationship in accordance with the applicable law. 

  • Maintain effective communication and collaborate closely with other departments, Accounting and Finance, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated payroll management and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise. 

  • Deliver monthly execution reports of payroll activities to the Finance area, recording and filing the signed and authorized supports, with the purpose of having the information updated and available for future audits. 

  • Be prepared to address and resolve any discrepancies or payroll related issues in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring host satisfaction and regulatory compliance. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures related to payroll management, proposing and implementing solutions that increase the efficiency, accuracy and regulatory compliance of the Payroll department.

Required: 

  • Verifiable experience in payroll management. 

  • Knowledge of payroll and pre-payroll. 

  • Knowledge of calculation of liquidations. 

  • Knowledge of payroll reconciliations vs. incidents. 

  • Elaboration of payment files. 

  • Knowledge of specialized software in payroll processing. 

  • Knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 

  • Attention to detail. 

  • Organizational and time management skills. 

  • Confidentiality, commitment to the protection of confidential data. 

  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication skills.
