Orthopedic Doctor/ Surgeon - Job Opportunity  in the Caribbean 

The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to patients in a primarily outpatient-based clinic and Ambulatory Day Surgery Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone to build a new practice, working together with an excellent team of other healthcare professionals.

Orthopedic Job description 

• Consulting with patients and analyzing patient data to determine patient needs and treatment goals
• Examining patients to diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems, including diseases, or injuries
• Collaborating with other specialists, and visiting orthopedic surgeons, when necessary, to determine a course of treatment, or surgery
• Recording patient care by maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results 
• Providing some orthopedic surgeries (dependent on personal skills and experience) plus working with visiting orthopedic specialized surgeons and assisting with pre and post surgery  consultations 
• Being instrumental in ideas , advice and assistance to organising effective orthopedic rehab
• Working alongside the resident anesthesiologist and wound clinic doctors and nurses, to provide a team  approach to pain care
• An opportunity to research and work with the team to develop PRP and stem cell options as alternative treatments in orthopedics 

The position would suit an experience orthopedic surgeon, looking for a change of lifestyle on a Caribbean island, who is willing to explore and develop alternative  treatment options and build the orthopedic clinic from a new base.

Or a young orthopedic graduate, ready and willing to develop new skills as part of an excellent medical team.

All documentation will be required to obtain a local medical license, which will include a good standard grade of written and spoken English.
