Operations Supervisor

As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll coordinate activities across Operations, Commissary, and Sanitation, ensuring compliance with airline catering standards. This role includes overseeing staff, managing projects, and ensuring timely, efficient delivery for flight kitchens and catered events.

GCG Group Jamaica is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries across the US, Caribbean, Central and South America. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the team in the capacity of Operations Supervisor at our Montego Bay location.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate flight schedules, passenger counts, and catering requirements to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.

• Manage inventory and requisitions to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with airline specifications.

• Monitor and enforce health, safety, and quality standards across all operations.

• Investigate and resolve customer queries, complaints, and requests promptly.

• Ensure accurate reporting of deliveries, inventories, and catering activities.

• Secure the building and supervise employees on the last shift, ensuring all equipment is properly turned off and secured.

• Monitor and maintain safe ramp procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Ability to function effectively under pressure.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team.
• Good communication and strong leadership skills.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and packing items.
