The position requires the incumbent to provide effective supervision of staff

Objective:

The position requires the incumbent to provide effective supervision of staff; ensure maximum operational availability, efficiency, reliability, quality, and responsibility of the designated plant at the lowest possible cost and in accordance with the production and maintenance budgets and ensure a safe and healthy environment created and maintained in accordance with the company’s HSE policies. The disciplines involve production, quality control as well as cleaning of the section.


Main Responsibilities include: 

  • Plan, direct and control production, packing and loading.
  • Ensure on-time and in-full deliveries to external and internal customers.
  • Monitor manpower and take appropriate action to ensure that operations run smoothly.
  • Monitor and report on all quality control aspects.
  • Maintain routine and non-routine stock survey for internal records and facilitate these with external auditors.
  • Maintain FIFO system in warehouse operations.
  • Monitor an enforce the Company’s Safety and Environmental Program.
  • Assist in preparing annual cost and capital budgets.
  • Ensure adequate stocks of raw and process materials for production.

 

Required Education / Expertise / Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical)
  • Leadership / Supervisory experience
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Good customer service (internal and external) / communication skills
  • Experience in root-cause, process analysis and reporting
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Good numerical skills
  • Budgeting experience (desirable)
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Knowledge on industrial safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Manufacturing or process experience
  • Physical requirements: Ability to walk and move around for extended periods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel (intermediate)
  • SAP - ERP software (desirable)
  • Schedule flexibility / Shift rotations

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum experience of 3-4 years in similar positions
