Primary objective of the job:
This position has the responsibility for the overall operational leadership of the Anguilla Cable and GSM business and for ensuring that our winning team continues to go beyond to exceed local market expectations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide inspired leadership for the organization.
- Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions. and overall responsibility for achieving Sales targets, EBITDA and revenues for the market
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
- Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
- Work with senior stakeholders.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
- Work with the Regional Chief Operating Officer to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
- Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
- Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
- Support worker communication with the management team.
- Opex and Capex management for commercial department and retail channel
- Ensure a strong ICT Business solutions portfolio is developed
- Monitor and advise on business related interfaces with the media
- Budget management annual planning and strict allocation of resources whilst staying within budget. Monthly monitoring of Opex expenditure
- Creation, leadership and management of a team that drives and supports revenue generation, customer loyalty and to include the development of staff potential
- Timely preparation and presentation of management and Board Reports
- Full P+L responsibility, ensuring all customer numbers, revenues and targets are achieved
- Establish, negotiate and maintain contracts with local and regional broadcast networks where appropriate
- Ensure development of innovative pricing, bundling and to market strategies that will accelerate revenue growth and adoption rates
- Influencing and managing the level of demand for Digicel’s products and services
- Managing rollout and driving uptake of the new Digicel Cable products and services
- Work collaboratively with members of Digicel Group North regional management team to harness synergies and efficiencies
- Engage senior level contact and business partners in government, corporate entities and the media in the market.
Academic qualifications and experience required for job :
- 10 years managerial experience
- A minimum of 3 years General Management experience in a Cable operations environment
- Minimum of 5 years at leadership level within the Telecommunications industry
- MBA Degree or similar discipline
- Highly computer proficient in Microsoft Suite
Functional Skills:
- Telecommunications experience is highly desirable
- Emerging markets experience is desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to build high performance teams
- Commercial acumen, maturity and professionalism with the ability to bring immediate experience, credibility and value to bear with all stakeholders.
- Ability to make excellent presentations of the financial results to the senior management team, Board of Directors and Shareholders.
