Provide accurate and timely processing with excellent customer service to the settlement process of trading activity, ensuring all business transactions and information are handled with the strictest confidentiality and highest standards of professionalism

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand, comply, maintain and reinforce all regulatory compliance, policies, procedures, rules and regulations for the Trinidad and Tobago Central Depository Limited (TTCD) and the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited (TTSE)
  • Suggest changes to operational procedures (processes and documents) in order to improve efficiency
  • Execute and monitor trade settlements, validating all transaction details to ensure accurate transfer of securities and bond interest calculations
  • Accurately review and process applications from Participants and all stakeholders, ensuring precise data entry into the database, and maintaining systematic organization of all related documentation, both physical and electronic
  • Liaise with all Participants and external Registrars to ensure all relevant operational information and documents related to TTCD transactions are received within the required timelines and are submitted in accordance with the Rules of the TTCD
  • Investigate and resolve queries and companies received from all stakeholders in a timely manner including queries on the Electronic Statement platform
  • Reconcile Jumbo Certificates with the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (CBTT) and visit (CBTT) to file certificates
  • Prepare and submit accurate trade reports, end of month balance confirmations and sharebooks as requested by the external Registrars
  • Generate shareholders’ statements as requested Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of all Participants fees in accordance with billing schedule
  • Investigate and resolve any identified discrepancies promptly
  • Assist with testing of new system procedures and other assigned special projects Provide support for internal and external education seminars including material development/ updates
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications

  • 5 O levels inclusive of English and Mathematics, with minimum grades of I, II and III
  • And Five (5) or more years’ work experience in the securities or financial services industry

OR

  • Associate Degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or related field
  • And Three (3) years’ work experience in the securities or financial services industry

Knowledge and Other Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word
  • Solid Interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Organizational Skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask; Flexibility to handle multiple customer inquiries while working under strict time constraints
  • Excellent written, oral communication and report writing skills;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. 
  • Ability to exercise independent thought and judgement while adapting to new tasks with limited notice
