The Operational Program Manager will provide support to the Deputy Director Capital Development in developing and driving a strategic and flexible project methodology for the Public Works Department Capital Development section

The Post holder will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Project/ Portfolio Management Services – continuous revision of up to 30 project documentation to ensure adherence to best practices and guidelines, quality standards and department requirements, per month. 
  • Compliance – as required, conduct up to 5 audit/systems reviews per month on the Capital Development compliance to internal processes and etc.
  • Reporting- Support the development and presentation of internal and external reporting for up to 80 construction projects per annum (for example: Monthly Management Reports (MMRs), quarterly Internal Project Reviews (IPRs), project risk assessments, annual reviews, and client deliverables) and ensure these outputs are fit for purpose.
  • Provide operational support to the Deputy Director by way of resource capacity planning, capability development, transition management, organizational structure review and division strategic planning.

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:  The post holder must possess a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a Postgraduate qualification in construction/project management. He/she should also possess a minimum of 3 years experience in leadership/people management and a minimum of 4 years of relevant project management experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
