THIS POSITION IS OPEN ONLY TO NATIONALS OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO AND THOSE HOLDING VALID AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE COUNTRY AND LIVING IN THE COUNTRY AT THE PRESENT TIME. 

 

Our client located in the Port of Spain , is seeking a Network Support Specialist with QA

 

SALARY: $7,500.00

 

 

HOURS OF WORK:  Mondays to Fridays - 8am to 4:30pm MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OUTSIDE WORKING HOURS TO MEET DEADLINES 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance Testing:
    • Conduct comprehensive QA testing of niche-developed applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
    • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts tailored to each client's application requirements.
    • Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for resolution.

  2. Helpdesk and Customer Support:
    • Provide first-line technical support to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to niche-developed applications.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

  3. Application Configuration and Deployment:
    • Configure and load niche-developed applications based on client specifications.
    • Ensure seamless deployment and integration of applications within client environments.

  4. Database Management:
    • Manage and maintain application databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
    • Perform routine database backups, updates, and optimizations.

  5. Report Development:
    • Design and generate customized reports to meet client requirements.
    • Analyze data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  6. Project Management:
    • Coordinate and manage projects related to application development, deployment, and support.
    • Develop project timelines, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.

  7. Troubleshooting Skills:
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing disruptions for clients.
    • Proactively identify potential issues and provide solutions to improve system performance.

  8. Office Network:
    • Periodically, the candidate will oversee the maintenance, and security of the organization's office network to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or Networking Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in QA testing, technical support, and database management.
  • Strong understanding of application configuration and deployment processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management tools.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with niche or custom-developed applications.
  • Certifications in QA, database management, or project management (e.g., ISTQB, PMP).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively within a Team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
