Network Operating Centre Engineer

To support the Datacentre’s and customer’s network infrastructure primarily in the areas of network management information security and systems administration.

JOB SUMMARY

PBS Technologies (Trinidad) Limited, is looking for a dynamic individual to accept a contract role of NOC (Network Operating Center) Technician/Engineer in our Communications Business Unit to operate out of our Port and Spain and Curepe locations.  The successful candidate will be required to support the Datacentre’s and customer’s network infrastructure by exercising expertise primarily in the areas of network management information security and systems administration.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical ownership of Network management system, Intrusion detection system and data backup system
  • Administer and maintain the network management system
  • Administer and maintain the Intrusion Detection system
  • Administer and maintain the data backup system
  • Research new hardware and software solution to enhance existing environments
• Administration and maintenance of Enterprise messaging system
• Overall technical support for the organization’s information systems and associated services

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ Networking or related field
• CCNA certification
• CompTIA, Security+, Network + certifications
• Working knowledge of a network management solution e.g. HP Open View; SolarWinds
• Working knowledge of network security fundamentals
• Working knowledge of intrusion detection systems
• Working knowledge of Operating Systems
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to work in a shift environment
