NIGHT AUDITOR

JOB SUMMARY

To provide a pleasant and memorable experience for the guests, In addition to and being responsible for reconciling/balancing accounts and accurately processing invoices and the recording of transactions.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and provide an excellent image of the hotel
  • Check-in/out guests, answer phones and take reservations  
  • Register guests by collecting all necessary information, such as contact details, arrival and check out dates as it relates to their stay 
  • Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
  • Process invoices and post cheques to vendors
  • Balance the cash drawer and log receipts
  • Check and rectify out-of-balance accounts
  • Maintain correct financial records and ledgers
  • Assist in the preparation for forecast and audits
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
  • Liaise with the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are ready to accommodate guests
  • Handling end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing and account reconciliation
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts 
  • Perform other duties assigned which is consistent with the objectives of the department 

  QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ist Degree or Associate in Accounting, Finance or Hotel and Tourism Management or equivalent technical certification
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar capacity    
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

  KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Good knowledge of accounting practices and principles
  • Excellent math skills and strong ability to multitask  
  • Knowledge of RDP software or similar hotel property management system, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills and detailed oriented  
  • Ability to work flexible or extended hours.

 

FRONT DESK AGENT

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and provide a lovely image of the hotel
  • Perform check-in and check-out and assign rooms
  • Register guests by collecting all necessary information, such as contact details, arrival and check out dates as it relates to their stay 
  • Manage phone and online reservations
  • Provide information about the hotel, rooms availability, rates and amenities
  • Inform guests about the payment methods
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
  • Respond to customer queries in a professional manner
  • Liaise with the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are ready to accommodate guests
  • Handling end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing and account reconciliation
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts 
  • Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
  • Any other relevant duty assigned 

Qualification

  • 1st Degree in Hotel and Tourism Management or equivalent technical certification
  • 1 year experience as a Front Desk Agent an asset
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
