Food and Beverage vacancies

Bar Manager
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Ensure maintenance and upkeep of bars and equipment are fully operational and presentable at all times.
  • Preparing weekly schedules for Bar Team Members to adequately cover all shifts.  
  • Provide for coverage in the case of employee absence and adjust staffing as necessary to meet business demands.
  • Recruit, train and motivate beverage team members
  • Monitor inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock is maintained/control costs within budget
  • Oversee cleanliness of working environment and team, paying special attention to possible health hazards and code violations
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Develop and implement on the job training sessions for the bar employees.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Food and Beverage Department budgets and goals
  • Control and monitor bar stock for daily use to ensure service and budgetary requirements are met.
  • Assist with the development of skills and orientation training systems
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food & Beverage Management or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Three (3) years’ professional experience as a Bar Manager and the ability to maintain the highest quality in a multi-outlet operation
  • Mixology certification and experience
  • HACCP Certification
  • Extensive working Knowledge of preparing Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverage
  • Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills required to guide the department to excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Must be computer literate

Sanitation Supervisor

 

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization tasks, which may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
  • Empty and clean trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to waste management guidelines.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials, such as chemicals and biohazardous waste, following safety protocols and regulations.
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
  • Maintain stocks of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are adequately stocked and in good working condition.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor promptly, ensuring a safe and functional work environment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
  • Assist in organizing and setting up rooms for meetings, events, or other special functions as required.
  • Provide assistance and support to other staff members or departments when necessary, fostering teamwork and collaboration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience in sanitation or cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations is desirable.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery is an asset.
  • HACCP Certification.
