Job Purpose

To provide administrative support to Mortgage Officers as assigned, to ensure that the administrative processes in support of mortgage origination and servicing are effected in accordance with the established performance standards.

 

Responsibilities

  •  Prepares all correspondence based on predesigned templates relative to the payment of escrows, interest subsidy, integrity commission, insurance cancellation and any other similar transactions.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure that they submit evidence that payments to WASA, lease rent, maintenance fees, insurance premiums, land & building taxes and all other similar expenses are paid and up to date.
  • Ensure that mortgage deeds and other security documents are received (post disbursement); Update the system records; accordingly, and file documentation for safe keeping; Follow where necessary for updated security documentation. 
  • Follow up with all parties to ensure that deeds of release are received and filed within performance standards. 
  • Prepares reconciliation statements on mortgage accounts that are in arrears and assist with queries made by such customers. 
  • Prepares reports and returns as directed. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned by the Head of Department or representative from time to time. 

 

Job Skills

  • Knowledge of mortgage loan products and processes.
  • Knowledge of mortgage products and the procedures for post disbursement account maintenane and servicing.
  • Strong people skills and customer service orientation.
  • Resourceful and results oriented; readily adjusts to multiple demands, shifting demands and rapid change.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with customers and external agencies and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of five [5] CXC passes, including English A & Mathematics (General Proficiency, Grade II Minimum).
  • Two [2] A’ Level (CAPE) passes.
  • 1 year’s experience in a similar or related position
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Good punctuality and attendance records.
