We are looking for a metal fabricator to work for our company. At Tibor’s Machine Shop we make custom quality metal works of all varieties. From gates, railings, spiral staircases to working on repairing cranes for shipyards. We are a one stop shop for anything metal, here in Turks & Caicos Islands. As a metal fabricator you will be building using different welding processes, for our various clients. We are looking for a metal fabricator well versed in SMAW and experienced in Aluminium and Stainless Steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering components.
• Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in.
• Ensuring that quality control standards are met.
• Maintain a production schedule.
• Testing product for their functionality.
• Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimize problems or recalls.
• Design and construct jigs, templates and fixtures.
• Apply knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and layouts.
• Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
• Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
• Analyze sample parts, blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations

  Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experienced in SMAW / GMAW / GTAW & oxy-fuel welding / cutting
• Previous work experience as metal fabricator
• Physical stamina
• Good dexterity
• Good organization skills.
• Advanced mathematical
• Must be a certified welder
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
