CariCRIS is the region’s first credit rating agency. Established in 2004 by the major financial institutions and central banks in the region, CariCRIS provides to bond issuers, investors and financial regulators, a regional credit rating framework for comparing the relative creditworthiness of risk entities in the region. CariCRIS’ credit ratings facilitate a more scientific and risk-based approach to bond pricing, investment decision-making and determination of capital requirements.
