UNESCO Office for the Caribbean

UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation) has main priorities for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and the improvement of the human condition by means of the following:

• mobilizing education to transform lives; ensure quality equitable and inclusive education and promote lifelong learning,
• reconciling with the living; protect the environment through knowledge sharing, good behaviour and respect for biodiversity,
• fostering science and technology in the service of humanity; encourage Open Science and the free flow of ideas, while developing ethical standards of AI and Neurosciences, and,
• promoting inclusion and mutual understanding; build inclusive societies by promoting respect and tolerance, fight against racism, hate speech and mis/disinformation.
