We are a leading pharmaceutical distribution company in Trinidad and Tobago operating for more than 30 years.

We are seeking a Medical Representative to join our team. This medical representative will work primarily in the east from Barataria to Sande Grande. The medical representative will work with the Sale Representative as they strategize for their corridor. The key duties of the Medical Representative include:

  • Developing an in-depth understanding of company medications.
  • Constantly research and understand the customer.
  • Detailing the company's medications to doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Deeply synergize with the sales representative to ensure focus and collective efforts.
  • Scheduling appointments with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to promote company medications.
  • Building and maintaining good business relationships with customers to encourage repeat purchases.
  • Preparing presentations for potential customers.
  • Researching competitor's medications and their respective market performances.
  • Keeping abreast of new developments in the medical field to determine the effect of such developments on the company's business strategies.

Education

Education in the sciences is a plus, but we have some history of taking applications from other backgrounds. Words such as Acetaminophen, Acetazolamide, Alclometasone Dipropionate, Amitriptyline Hydrochloride should not scare you. If you have a learner's mindset, you will thrive; if not, it is the quickest way to lose confidence because you will be in front of very technical people.

Experience

We have a different view on experience. Our best hires are those who had no or minimal experience in the field but shared our values. We taught them what they needed to suceed and continously trained them. Experience for us is not a plus if the experience is bad. We define bad experience as experience that lists many roles but does connect with those roles tangible outcomes that the applicant achieved or performed. If you have a lot of experience, do not just list your roles but list what you achieved in those roles worthy of us inquiring about when we meet.

Applicant must have:

  • The person applying must have a car for their daily use. We, unfortunately, cannot hire someone without a vehicle.
  • A degree is the minimum requirment for this role. A degree in science is preferred, but we have hired those from a wide array of educational specialties, so feel free to apply. A learner mindset is critical.
  • The applicant must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word or Google Sheets. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • The applicant must have a strong work ethic and be great at tactical execution—our work environment is designed around Clear outcomes but maximum autonomy. We assume our workers have potential, and thus, we do not micromanage but we have a strong culture of one 'owning their task/project'.
  • The applicant must be able to work in an environment that leans towards the informal. We believe that layers of formality stifles a culture of authenticity.
  • A growth mindset is vital as new material to learn on sales, health, productivity, and wellbeing will be shared constantly. Mastery and implementation of the material expected.
