This position as medical representative is to sell and promote a pharmaceutical company’s medicines, equipment, and prescription drugs.

Medical Representative

As a medical representative, the job is to promote and sell their company's products, whether that's pharmaceutical drugs or medical equipment. Customers can include doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.

Key responsibilities include:

• organizing appointments and meetings with community- and hospital-based healthcare staff
• identifying and establishing new business
• negotiating contracts
• demonstrating or presenting products to healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and pharmacists
• attending and organizing trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
• writing reports and other documents.
• Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
• Continuously improve through feedback
