Medical Representative - Alcon

The incumbent would be responsible for promoting and selling the Company’s products to the target Customers with the view of achieving the objectives of the Division.

Bryden pi Limited is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Pharmaceutical Division:

Some Main Responsibilities include: 

• Arrange appointments with doctors and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' calling
• Make presentations to medical professional staff. Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day, or may be conducted in the evenings at designated venues
• Organize mini meetings for doctors and other medical/pharmaceutical staff
• Attain monthly sales targets on assigned route
• Ensure that routes are properly serviced and that key supplier products are visible and / or available where required.
• Execute agreed sales and marketing plans
• Plan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with the territory managers or discuss future targets with the sales manager.
• Regularly attend Company/supplier meetings, technical data presentations and briefings
• Keep up-to-date with the latest clinical data supplied by the Company, and interpret, present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentations
• Collect feedback/information from new and existing customers/consumers on the performance of the Company’s products and populate Competitor Report as required
• Continuously expand and explore opportunities to encourage sales growth with new and existing customers.
• Maintain knowledge of new developments in field, anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly
• Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Compan

Qualification, Experience and Requirement: 

• Minimum of tertiary level qualifications in Medical Sciences, Marketing, Management or related fields
• At least 2 years’ experience in the health industry, preferably in Medical Sales/Marketing.
• Or relevant combination of training and experience
• A valid Police Certificate of Good Character
