Medical Equipment Sales Representative

An Engineering & Contracting firm is seeking to hire qualified candidates to fill the vacancy Medical Equipment Sales Representative to promote and sell medical products, equipment, and services to healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. This role will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and building strong relationships with customers within the medical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and prospect new customers, including healthcare professionals and medical facilities, through research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to healthcare professionals, highlighting the features, benefits, and clinical applications of medical products.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements with customers to secure sales and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and stay ahead in the market.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in healthcare facilities, including physicians, nurses, department heads, and purchasing managers.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and product education to healthcare professionals and medical staff to ensure proper usage and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Determine the best offerings, giving demos and presentations.
  • Address customer concerns, inquiries, and product-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to assess their needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Product Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements, industry regulations, and competitive landscape to effectively position and differentiate the company's products.
  • Continuously update product knowledge and educate healthcare professionals on the clinical benefits and evidence-based outcomes of the products.
  • Conduct product trainings and workshops for healthcare professionals, ensuring they are equipped to handle and utilize the products correctly.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Applied Science, Radiography, or Medical Technology) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in medical sales or a related field, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical products, equipment, and the healthcare industry.
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills to close deals and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites island wide.
