The incumbent is responsible for promoting wellness among the university community's staff and students through client education, evaluation, and management of medical conditions.
Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
M.B. B.S./MD.
Certificate of Registration with the Medical Council of Jamaica.
Member of the Medical Association of Jamaica and with current malpractice insurance.
General knowledge of worldwide health conditions, health requirements and precautions.
Sound knowledge in clinical medicine.
Good knowledge of relevant medical database.
Thorough understanding of the policies, procedures and practices of the University regarding the administering of medical care.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
At least two (2) years’ experience working in a hospital/medical treatment facility in a similar capacity.
