Manager -Treasury

To monitor the company's assets and liabilities and execute strategies to achieve highly competitive risk adjusted returns while conforming to the investment objectives and policies of the company.

• Providing financial and investment advice to institutional, broker and high net-worth clients.
• Increase and maintain the company's on-book funds under management by actively prospecting and closing new clients.
•  Increase the company’s client and funding base by actively sourcing clients to purchase securities on the primary and secondary markets.
• Source funding for the acquisition of assets.
• Assist with the management of the company's interest rate, liquidity and other market risks to maximize returns.
• Assist with the development of excel spread sheet models to manage interest rates, liquidity and other market risks.
• Buys/ sells local foreign government and corporate securities (eg Treasury Bills), as required.
• Assist with the development and recommendation of new ideas towards money making targets.
• Formulates short-term strategies to guide the day to day management of the fixed income trading desk.
•  Liaise with the Ministry of Finance and other brokers in matters relating to securities being traded by them.
• Prepare advisories to existing and potential clients for Government debt options as well as Corporate Papers.
• Ensure timely receipt of funds for payment on tenders, placements and maturities.
• Assist in the execution of Primary Issues via select brokerage houses and advising clients of results along with amount to be paid as soon as they are available.
• Ensure the re-investment of funds as they mature in accordance with the request of the customers with respect to the payment or re-investments of such funds.
•  Conducting market intelligence and monitoring daily activities of the financial market.
• Prepare the monthly Asset and Liabilities (ALCO) Report.
•  Prepare internal reports and external regulatory reports as requested by the Regulators.
• Cross selling the company’s products and services to new and existing customers.
• Accept speaking engagements on confirmation with the Manager, Treasury and Trading.
• Ensure that information to which you have access is handled in accordance with the Information Security (IS) Policy.
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned, and that is within the scope of your general duties.
